WineFrog explains Enophile

One does not have to be a professional in the wine industry to be considered an enophile. An enophile is a person who finds wine as a passion or hobby or interest in wine and all that encompasses the industry or topic; they may just be a collector of wines or passionate about entertaining with wines as a focus. Some might call enophiles "wine geeks" as they are often very knowledgeable on entertaining facts about wine.
